Pride is the beautiful celebration from how far we've come. It's paying tribute to those that paved the way for most of us to live and love as freely as we can in today's society. And yes, there are limits to that freedom.
Because do not forget: LGBTQIA+ people around the world are still being disrespected, dismissed, ignored, discriminated against and murdered for just being their authentic selfs. Pride has always been a protest against an unjust system. And as long as this system doesn't change, our flags will rise in every country, our voices will be heard on every street and our stories will be told all year round.
Pride is a Protest.
